The Corvette C6 has been a sports car icon in Amerca since decades. The C6 is the sixth generation car of corvette. GM claims that the Corvette is the word’s best-selling sports car. Corvette may be a best seller sports car in the US, but it has never caught on in Britain, largely due to being left-hand drive only.
The Corvette C6 comes equipped with OHV 6.0 liters V-8 engine, producing 400horsepower at 6000rpm and 400lb-ft of torque at 4400rpm. The revamped engine, dubbed LS2, revs higher, and has a higher compression ratio. The LS2′s 50 extra horsepower came from increased displacement, a revised camshaft profile, and less exhaust back pressure. The C6 comes with rear located six-speed manual and the four-speed automatic transmissions.
The Corvette C6 comes equipped with standard features like a CD player, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, climate control, alloy wheels (18-inch on the front; 19 on the rear) and electrically adjustable seats are all fitted as standard. Optional upgrade includes satellite-navigation and head-up display on the windscreen.
Safety features in the Corvette C6 includes traction control, stability control and twin front and side airbags and alarm and immobiliser.
The cabin looks surprisingly small but comfortable for two adults with enough head and leg-room, though rides might be uncomfortable on bumpy roads because of it stiff suspensions. The boot is reasonable unless it is used to stow the roof panel.
